MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, management, maintenance, monitoring and support of Windows-based servers, VMware hosts and Active Directory managed by ITG.
  2. Responsible for building and maintaining Windows 10 desktop image and automating application updates.
  3. Manages daily and monthly workflows such as server patching and backups.
  4. Provides support to other team members and participate in campus computing projects.
  5. Participate in administering Active Directory, VMware environment, Zimbra, backups and monitoring systems.
  6. Provides system automation, scripting and modification as needed.
  7. Provides on-call computing support during weekends and/or holiday breaks on a rotational basis with other staff members.
  8. May perform additional job duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic experience is required
  2. Minimum of two years of work experience with Windows administration is required.
  3. Candidates with current MCSE certification are preferred.
  4. Significant work experience with PowerShell with module creation is required.
  5. Experience deploying and maintaining Windows desktops using Chocolatey is highly preferred.
  6. VMware environment support experience is preferred.
  7. Knowledge of networking essentials is required.
  8. Experience with Linux System administration is a preferred.
  9. Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Packer, Remote Desktop Services and WSUS is preferred.
  10. Candidate must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
